Reconciliation Member Jeannie Hellmann with children in Uganda
African Children Today (ACT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women and children in Rakai, Uganda. The Rakai district of Uganda is ground zero of the AIDS epidemic, with thousands of children orphaned and in great need of help. ACT directs 100% of all product sales back to the Ugandan women who produce jewelry from recycled magazines and create hand-woven grass baskets. With this income, the underserved women are able to feed and educate their own children as well as orphans in the village, and thus provide HOPE for a better future!
